DangerDen Maze 4 CPU & GPU Waterblocks Review
Jan 14 2004 @ 02:54PM by MikeC

Overclockers Club reviews the DangerDen CPU and GPU waterblocks.
"?Water-cooling.? That's a term loved by many, yet at the same time feared just as much. I mean, after all you would have to be crazy to stick flowing water inside of your computer that is worth at least $1,500.00+, right? To be honest, even though I'd seen the results that water-cooling produces over air-cooling, I'd really never gotten up the courage to attempt it. That was until the gang at DangerDen sent me the Maze 4 CPU and GPU blocks to try out. Figured this would be as good a time as any to venture into the world of water cooling."

Demonic XTC Waterblock Review
Jan 14 2004 @ 11:46AM by MikeC

Ninja Lane reviews this waterblock from Demonic.
"The Demonic XTC waterblock is constructed from copper 110 (99.9% pure copper) and features base thickness of 020". As the XTC name suggests the Extreme Turbulence Cooling comes from the 5 textured channels seen in the center of the water block. Demonic Water Cooling calls this "PentaHydro-Channel" and is designed to forcibly create turbulence directly over the processor core. The fins do not extend very far thus limiting when and where the turbulence will take place. The interior of the block appears to be sand blasted for texture though could be left over from a casting process."

Thermaltake Aquarius III Water Cooling System Review
Dec 20 2003 @ 05:54PM by MikeC

TweakTown reviews the Aquarius III water cooling system. This external system looks impressive but doesn't seem to do the job of a real watercooling system. On the bright side, it looks like this thing is whisper quiet.
"With Christmas only just around the corner, there may be no better time than now to look into PC water cooling as an interesting gift to spice up a computer for friends or family. Today we've taken a look at the Thermaltake Aquarius III water cooling system. Read on and find out if this is the right gift or not!"

PolarFLO Universal SF Water Blocks Review
Dec 12 2003 @ 05:05AM by MikeC

ViperLair reviews a waterblock from PolarFLO. A must read if you're thinking about putting together a watercooled rig.
"Putting together an effective water cooling solution isn't about slapping a bunch of blocks, radiator, pump and fans though, as the quality of each component is very important. Naturally, water blocks are a major part of the equation, and we got a chance to look at a couple of Universal Water Blocks from PolarFLO."

PolarFLO SF Waterblock Review
Oct 10 2003 @ 05:13AM by MikeC

Gruntville.com reviews a waterblock from PolarFLO.
"Since we are all case modders as well as overclcokers and general speed freaks, we decided to go with what is always on a modders list of considerations, appearance. In this area the PolarFLO SF blows away the competition. Yes, it is true that the unit we tested is the Gold Plated version and $40 more then the base version. However, the base version comes with the same amazing SuperFinish and has 4 different color anodized tops available (Red, Blue, Purple, and Black). For a little more cash you can get Chrome or Copper plated as well. This gives you not only a high-performance water block, but 7 different colors to choose from to match your case. The only thing missing is the popular see-through poly top, but seeing the way the block is designed, I am not sure how feasible that is. With this in its favor, we are happy to crown a new King of the Hill in water cooling CPU blocks, the PolarFLO SF Universal CPU Block."

Zalman WB1 Waterblock Review
Oct 06 2003 @ 07:14AM by MikeC

Nexus Hardware reviews Zalman's new waterblock.
"Zalman has been a very popular producer of enthusiast computer cooling goods since their first introduction in 1999. Their so called ?flower? line of both passive and active heatsinks have received nearly unanimous praise. Furthermore, their passive GPU heatpipe powered heatsinks have produced stellar results. Today we have their first water-cooling product, the ZM-WB1."
