OCZ Enhanced VGA & HDD Power Lead

Introduction

Ever since their entry into the memory market in the fall of 2000, OCZ Technology has followed their vision of providing products for enthusiasts by enthusiasts. Since then they have not only pushed the limits of memory technology but also expanded into the other portions of the enthusiast market including heat sinks, and other accessories. Being a part of the community so long they understood that clean power is important to the system, especially the overclocked system and as a result the OCZ PowerShield Power Supply incorporated their special PowerShield power leads. Probably realizing that the PowerShield technology was a good thing, we have the current product OCZ Enhanced VGA & HDD Power Lead.

Specifications

The VGA & HDD Power Lead package comes with a pair of power leads (I assume one for the video card and one for the hard disk). These copper shielded power leads are designed to provide current stabilization by reducing the EMF interference coming from the numerous currents flying through the machine. As such, these power leads claim to improve the +5V voltage delta from 40.7mV to 21.6 mV and likewise for the +12V. As such this is translates into a qualitative elimination of the “snowing” and “waterwave” effects that are visible when plugging in high performance video cards and hard disks.
