Benchmarks: Call of Duty
Call of Duty puts you in realistic World War 2 action. You are placed in the middle of some historic battles such as D-Day, the Battle of Berlin, the Russian charge of Stalingrad. You experience what it's like to be a foot soldier in that era.
At 1024x768, the P4 system running the 5950 Ultra video card is the winner. At high resolutions, the 9800XT systems pull their act together and pull off some decent scores comparible to the P4 with the nVidia card. The 3400+ running the Radeon even pulls ahead at 1600x1200.
There's a trend that seems to be emerging now with AA and AF turned on to the max. It seems like the 9800XT is better suited to cope with the extra strain than the 5950 Ultra. The 3400+ has a bit of a lead in scores, and at higher resolutions, is able to beat out the P4 by a slight margin.
