Benchmarks: Gun Metal
Gun Metal 2 pitches you into a futuristic world where you pilot a mech and basically destroy stuff while completing missions. Developped by Yeti stuiods, this game is currently only available on demo mode on nVidia's site.
The Gun Metal 2 benchmark stresses the cards through Vertex Shader v2.0 and Pixel Shader v1.1, as well as forces the cards to run AA and AF.
The 3400+ takes charge under these circumstances. The top scores belong to both systems running the A64 3400+. There is however a large difference between the two video cards on both systems. Seems like the conditions imposed under Test 1 really shows the 9800XT's prowess.
Test 2 spells out a whole different story. Seems like the 5950 Ultra is king here with both top scores, no matter what system it was on.
