Overclocking

As mentioned earlier, there is a bit of heardroom for overclocking in the RAM, and the core is clocked faster than the standard ATI 9600XT. On stock cooling I was able to raise the core to 580MHz from it's standard 525MHz making it a 9% overclock of the core which isn't half bad.

As for the memory I was able to bump it up to 352MHz, 2MHz higher than was rated. I'm sure with some memory-sinks I would be able to attain a higher memory frequency.

Overclocking both components at the same time resulted in a core frequency of 575MHz and the rated 350MHz for the RAM. Any higher and I would get some image anomalies.
