BIOS (cont.)
Memory timings are controled through the DIMM menu in the overclocking section.
You have the option of setting the CAS latency to 2, 2.5 or 3. Following that there are timings based on the bus clock speed which fall under timing deleays, minimum RAS active time and the time to precharge the rows.
When you're overclocking, what's the first thing you think of after you finish all the settings and it's stable? Tempurature of course. Well like most BIOS' you have a system health status page. This is a standard layout, but wait, what's this? CPU tempurature of 17 degrees? No, I'm not using some crazy watercooling system. Seems like there's a problem with this BIOS revision. It's not reading the tempurature accurately off of the diode.
Other funcitons in the BIOS are pretty much standard, such as controling the onboard peripherals, boot up sequence and so forth.
