Introduction:
OCZ Technology is mostly known for their memory products as they were the first to offer Dual Channel Memory to the consumer. However, as they are a company that was created by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts, they have expanded their way into the cooling market offering thermal compounds, heat sinks and fans.
The Gladiator 3 that I will be looking at today is dwarfed by the recent competition that is being offered by OCZ’s competitors. Most heat sinks now are at the 80mm range. The Gladiator 3 is puny in comparison, weighing in at a small 60x60x30mm size. This heat sink is designed for Athlon XP processors up to 3200+, made of a single-piece of pure copper. The question is, will this be sufficient to allow the Gladiator 3 to compete with its bigger brothers.
