Considering it's the same hard drive in both enclosures, it's pretty normal to see the transfer rates approximately the same within a reasonable margin of error. The actual speed is dictated by the transfer rate of the USB2.0 controller.

Interesting results were gathered during the SiSoft Sandra test. Seems like the SilverRiver can eek out some better performances during some of the smaller file transfers.
